Supercharge Your Morning
Sacrificing breakfast for an extra ten minutes in bed isn’t doing you any favours. By sticking to a morning routine and changing bad habits, you can supercharge your way to a successful morning.

Wake Up Earlier
This may sound like the worst idea in the world, but have faith, it works. By setting your alarm half an hour earlier (and actually getting up), you won’t be rushing around or stressing out because you can’t find your keys.
Prepare
Make your lunch the night before. Decide on your outfit and pack your work bag. Put your keys and wallet together in the same spot, so that when you leave everything is in the right place.
To-do List
Use ten minutes after work each day to write a to-do list. This stops you lying awake at night worrying about missing something, which makes setting an earlier wake up time less painful.
Coffee
Oh coffee, how we love thee. But resist gulping down a cup of java first thing, as it doesn’t help your system. When you first wake up, your cortisol level is at its highest, so extra caffeine isn’t needed. Wait a couple of hours until you’re at work. You’ll appreciate it that much more.
Cold Shower
There’s nothing like a blast of cold water to get your act together. Warm water is soothing but makes it harder to get out of the shower and can even make us feel more tired. Just before you get out of a warm shower, turn the water briefly to cold and it’ll snap your brain into action.
Breakfast
A healthy breakfast gets your metabolism moving and gives you energy. Try to stay away from high levels of carbohydrates for this meal, as that could cause an energy crash mid-morning. Eggs are full of protein and good fats, and are a great way to start your day.
Exercise
You don’t have to do much, but a 15 minute jog/fast walk will really get your blood flowing. Squats, sit ups or lunges at home would also do the trick. You’ll soon notice the benefits.
Commute
Spending an hour stuck in traffic isn’t productive and it leaves you feeling frazzled before you get to the office. Consider biking to work or using public transport. Letting the train take the strain, could give you time to prepare or read, reducing stress levels before your day begins.
